I started Yoho Digital to help businesses make more money. I have been involved in businesses most of my life and enjoy building them up and selling them. The last business I sold was a web hosting company I built for 6 years, which I sold to a competitor.

Landing Page
At the time the landing page converted 4.6% of traffic that landed on it. It wasn’t cold traffic; they were from guest posts we had put on relevant websites, so you could say it was warm traffic.
The way we did the link building was different from other companies. That is we didn’t believe in building hundreds of links but only building links from relevant sites with a high domain rating and page rating.
This meant the web pages on which we placed our links were getting traffic from other sources.
We found this was the best traffic and converted much better from links placed on general websites.
This is the same tactic we use today. We don’t build general links as a normal company would. We target the websites we know will move the needle in your rankings.
Recently, I was talking to a friend and he was telling me his brick-and-mortar business was not making as much money as he thought it could. He was down as he tried everything he could to get customers into his business.
Mobile Friendly Pages
As I spoke to him, I looked at his website, which was not mobile-friendly.
It was hosted on a cheap web host and took a long time to load.
I told him I would help him by redesigning the website to make it mobile-friendly. I explained everything I could do and offered my help.
He looked at me and said he would be grateful for any help I could provide. I explained what we would do and how we would do it.
The team and I got to work and in a few days produced a new website with a good call to action. We showed him the new website and he loved it.
We then moved the website to Amazon AWS as I host everything there as it’s the fastest available server. They are slightly more expensive but you pay for quality and uptime.
Once the website was moved, we redirected the domain name and waited for the DNS (Domain Name System) to propagate.
Once the DNS had finished propagating, we published blog posts about the services he provided and showcased his catalogs.
We watched the analytics as Google crawled the website and after weeks we started seeing the posts being indexed and rankings starting to appear.

He called me to ask if we could continue the work as he was happy with what we were doing as customers complimented him on his new website.
We agreed and went to work with link building. Over 6 months, we built links to his site’s blog posts and home page.
He slowly started to rank in his area and eventually he was ranking for hundreds of keywords for his products and services.

I thought about it for a few days and he was right.
